I am Candace Hartman, and it is truly a joy to work in a Christ-centered environment here at VCA! Growing up in the small, tight-knit community of Winslow, Arizona, I was raised with a deep love for the Lord and a passion for music that has shaped my life. Some of my most cherished memories are those of singing alongside my father in our hometown church, a blessing that continues to inspire me in my role as part of the worship team at VCC.

A proud graduate of Northern Arizona University, I have dedicated over 25 years to the field of education—serving as a teacher, reading specialist, and academic coach. In addition to my elementary education certificate and reading endorsement, I am honored to hold an administrative certificate from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Returning to my hometown after college to teach in the very school where I was once a student was a profoundly meaningful experience. Empowering students and watching them thrive has always been the driving force behind my work.

I am also blessed to be the proud mother of twin daughters who are completing their studies at GCU. Every step of my journey has been guided by the Lord’s abundant blessings, and I am deeply grateful to contribute to such an extraordinary school community.
