Our Preschool is divided into two separate classes, our three year olds (Pre-3) and our four year olds (Pre-4).
Our preschool classes have received a 5 star rating with Quality First and accreditation from ACSI
What is Quality First?
“Quality First – a signature program of First Things First – partners with regulated early childhood providers to make quality improvements that research proves help children birth to 5 thrive, such as education for teachers to expand their expertise in working with young children. It also supports parents with information about what to look for in quality early childhood programs that goes beyond health and safety to include a nurturing environment that supports their child’s learning.
First Things First is a voter-created, statewide organization that funds early education and health programs to help kids be successful once they enter kindergarten. What will your child experience at Verde Christian Academy?
Here at VCA we focus on the individual child, especially in the areas of social and emotional development and well being. We strive to create an environment conducive to learning by providing “Centers of play”such as: math, science, dramatic play, art, technology, and motors skills such as blocks. Preschool students at VCA are exposed to high literacy, being read books by authors like Dr. Seuss, and James Dean (Pete the Cat), as well as the Bible.
We believe that it is important for children to learn, and experience outside the classroom as well. Students will visit the Zoo, Splash pad, and take frequent trips to the local public library.
Our goal is that by the time a child promotes from Preschool here at VCA that child will be able to identify colors, numbers, animals, sounds, shapes, letters, and be able write their own name. They will have also learned, and memorized 20 plus Bible verses using the Abeka Bible Curriculum.
We have Chapel every Wednesday, and our Preschool not only attends, but participates by performing songs, reciting scriptures, and leading in pledges and prayer.
Schedule:
Pre-3 Classes run Monday-Thursday from 8:00a.m to 11:30a.m.
Pre-4 Classes run Monday-Thursday from 8:00a.m to 11:30a.m.
After 11:30a.m. We have “Afternoon Academy” which runs until 3:15p.m.
All classes at VCA run on the same vacation and holiday schedule.
Cost:
There is a registration fee of $75.oo for new incoming students only. All tuition is set up on a 10 month plan August – May.
