Hollie joined our VCA team in 2018. After two fabulous years teaching art, she was thrilled to step into the role of kindergarten teacher in 2020. Hollie holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University with an endorsement in Structured English Immersion and is state certified in Arizona for K-8 education.

Prior to teaching at VCA, Hollie homeschooled her children and worked in various traditional school settings.

Hollie has a passion for helping children discover new learning, especially in reading, and loves guiding students to those “lightbulb” moments as they unlock new skills.

Though born in Cottonwood, Hollie grew up living in various places, including spending the latter half of childhood as a Missionary Kid in Papua New Guinea. She and her husband, Anthony, settled in Cottonwood again in 2008 to raise their family.

In her free time, Hollie delights in spending time with Anthony and their four children, playing games, making music, watching movies, and doing arts and crafts of all kinds.
